Key Responsibilities

• Perform heating and cooling load calculations using industry-standard software (e.g., Wrightsoft, Trace 3D, or Carrier HAP).
• Assist in designing mechanical systems (ductwork, piping, equipment selection) for residential and light commercial projects.
• Prepare CAD/BIM drawings, detailed schematics, and construction documentation using AutoCAD or Revit.
• Select HVAC equipment and accessories based on code compliance, design parameters, and project budgets.
• Coordinate designs with architectural, structural, and electrical plans to avoid site conflicts.
• Self-manage deadlines, project deliverables, and client communications with a high degree of independence.

Qualifications & Skills

• Self-Motivated & Autonomous: Ability to manage your own schedule, prioritize tasks, and drive projects forward without needing constant oversight.
• Education/Experience: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Drafting, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD (Revit experience is a strong plus); familiarity with manual load calculations (Manual J, S, D) and local mechanical codes.
• Problem-Solving Mindset: Eager to learn, troubleshoot layout challenges, and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.

Terms of Employment

• Probationary Period: All new hires undergo a 90-day probation period to evaluate performance, workflow alignment, and culture fit before permanent status is finalized.

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
