Duties and Responsibilities:

Administration

1.0 Establishes maintenance procedures for production operator and maintenance technicians in accordance to best practices based on manufacturers’ recommended maintenance procedures covering all main and auxiliary plant and equipment;

2.0 Establishes and maintains plant ad-hoc monitoring checklist for the smelting plant main equipment;

3.0 Liaises with external contractors regarding all major equipment maintenance activities;

4.0 Liaises closely with the dispatch department on all aspects of plant maintenance especially scheduled and mandatory maintenance;

5.0 Establishes and monitors smelting plant workshop equipment availabilities report and annual spare part budget;

6.0 Establishes & maintains mechanical technician orientation / training / refresher training procedures;

7.0 Ensure compliance to Health& Safety procedures as require by FMA/DOSH/EC.

Work

8.0 To plan/execute Maintenance plans;

9.0 Carries out daily routine inspection of the key equipment operation condition;

10.0 Specifies equipment’s maintenance and repair methods in accordance with equipment manufacturers’ recommended procedures and provides guidance and supervision to maintenance personnel in such matters;

11.0 Defines workplace safety and proper handling procedures;

12.0 Assists technician team in emergency recovery and schedule plant maintenance;

13.0 Preserves compliances to legislation and regulatory requirement;

14.0 Carries out continuous improvement efforts in maintenance practices;

15.0 Ensures all smelting plant equipment are maintained in good working condition;

16.0 Carries out any other instructions given by superior(s).

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
2. Fresh graduate or 1 year of experience in related field.
3. Candidate must possessed basic knowledge in mechanical or maintenance.
4. Fluency in Mandarin is preferred as the role will be requested to deal with Mandarin speaking foreign employees/vendor.
5. Applicants must be willing to work in Samalaju, Bintulu Sarawak.
