Junior .NET Backend Developer – Fresher

Job Overview

We are looking for a Junior .NET Backend Developer to join our development team.

This position is primarily suitable for freshers who have a good foundation in programming and are interested in building their career in backend development using C# and .NET.

We are looking for someone who is willing to learn and understand an existing software product and codebase, rather than someone who is only looking to work on small isolated tasks.

The selected candidate will initially work under the guidance of senior developers and will gradually take responsibility for backend development tasks as they become familiar with the product, architecture and coding practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Understand the existing application architecture and codebase.
• Develop and maintain backend functionality using C# and .NET.
• Work on REST APIs and backend services.
• Understand and work with database operations.
• Fix bugs and investigate application issues.
• Read and understand existing code before making changes.
• Implement assigned development tasks under the guidance of senior developers.
• Write clean, readable and maintainable code.
• Test and debug the functionality developed.
• Collaborate with frontend developers and QA engineers.
• Gradually take ownership of small features and backend modules.
• Learn and follow the development standards and architecture used in the project.

Required SkillsMust Have

• Basic knowledge of C#.
• Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts.
• Basic understanding of .NET / ASP.NET Core.
• Basic understanding of REST APIs and HTTP methods.
• Basic knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Good understanding of programming fundamentals.
• Good logical and analytical thinking.
• Good debugging and problem-solving ability.
• Willingness to learn and work on an existing codebase.

Good to Have

• Knowledge of Entity Framework / Entity Framework Core.
• Basic knowledge of PostgreSQL or SQL Server.
• Familiarity with Git.
• Knowledge of API testing tools such as Postman.
• Academic or personal project experience using C#/.NET.
• Basic understanding of software development lifecycle and Git-based development.

Qualifications

• B.Tech / B.E. / BCA / MCA / equivalent technical qualification preferred.
• Freshers with relevant academic or personal projects are welcome to apply.
• Candidates with up to 1 year of relevant experience may also apply.

Compensation

Up to ₹15,000 per month, based on skills and interview performance.
