Junior Network Engineer

We are looking for a Junior Network Engineer to join our IT team. The successful candidate will assist in the installation, configuration, monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance of network infrastructure and ensure reliable and secure network connectivity across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure, monitor, and maintain Cisco network devices, including routers and switches.
• Troubleshoot network connectivity, performance, and hardware-related issues.
• Assist in the installation and configuration of LAN/WAN infrastructure.
• Monitor network performance and identify potential issues before they affect operations.
• Perform basic network security and access-control configurations.
• Assist with network documentation, diagrams, configurations, and technical reports.
• Provide technical support for network-related concerns and incidents.
• Coordinate with other IT teams, vendors, and service providers when resolving network issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance and other network-related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in network engineering or network administration.
• Cisco certification is required (e.g., CCNA or equivalent).
• Hands-on experience with Cisco routers and switches.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, DHCP, DNS, routing, and switching.
• Basic understanding of network security, firewalls, and VPN technologies.
• Experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and documentation skills.
• Willing to learn and work collaboratively with the IT team.
