Junior NOC Engineer

What we need you to Do:

• Monitor applications, production transactions, operator performance, payment services, and system alerts on a 24/7 basis.
• Detect service degradation, outages, transaction failures, and security or fraud-related anomalies.
• Perform initial troubleshooting and escalate incidents to the relevant internal team, supplier, or operator within defined SLAs.
• Monitor 900+operators and take prompt action to minimize customer and business impact.
• Switch transaction traffic to approved backup suppliers when required and authorized.
• Raise and follow up on technical issues with operators, partners, suppliers, and internal support teams.
• Communicate clear incident updates through Slack, email, tickets, and incident-management channels.
• Support major production incident management, including stakeholder communication and technical bridge calls.
• Monitor fraud alerts, API errors, security events, and suspicious transaction patterns; escalate them to the appropriate teams.
• Maintain accurate incident records, shift handovers, troubleshooting notes, and operational reports.
• Participate in knowledge sharing, training, process improvement, and shift coverage as required.
• Willingness to work rotational shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of networking, APIs, web applications, databases, and system monitoring.
• Familiarity with incident management, ticketing tools, and production support is preferred.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work calmly and effectively during high-priority incidents.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to work rotational shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
• Experience with monitoring tools, such as Datadog, Kibana, Cloudflare, SolarWinds, or similar platforms, is an advantage.
