Junior Planner

Job Purpose

· Review sales order requirements, create and assist to plan jobs accordingly to meet customer ship dates, on-time, in-full

· Liase with Customer Services on urgencies, engage with Senior Planner and provide timeous feedback

Duties and Responsibilities

· Back order analysis – go through the backorder report daily and analyse late, current and forward orders.

· Job creation in accordance to ship dates and lead times – pull sales orders from the backorder report and create jobs in advance for the production plan.

· Trial planning – job creation and planning of printed trials.

· Maintenance of back order report – maintaining the report to chase late orders, chase closures for complete orders and liaise with CSRs for orders that need to be pushed out.

· Maintaining and updating daily printing plan – Editing and updating of the Printing plan by removing complete jobs, inserting new jobs and shifting jobs.

· Maintaining and updating daily Production plan – Editing and updating of Production plan by removing complete jobs, inserting new jobs and shifting jobs.

· Order acknowledgements back up – back up to Sherwin to acknowledge ship date based on machine capacity and RM requirements.

· Communicating with CSR’s – daily communication and updating CSRs on their orders and which process it is at, communicating shortfalls and any delays.

· Receive requests from CSR’s on urgencies, engage with the Senior Planner and provide timesous feedback

Qualifications

· Diploma or Degree

· Proficient in Microsoft Excel/Word/Outlook

· Experience in ERP (SYSPRO an advantage)

· Previous planning experience in a manufacturing or printing environment is essential

Skill and Knowledge Requirements

· Knowledge and understanding of Syspro system advantageous

· Good time management skills

· Keen eye for detail

· Ability to work in a highly pressurized environment
