Junior Pre Press Operator

About the role

We're looking for a Junior Prepress Operator to join our studio and take on day-to-day prepress work. You'll work alongside our experienced Prepress Coordinator, who will provide hands-on training and technical support as you build your skills in print production. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career who wants to learn the technical side of print, from artwork to finished product.

Key responsibilities

• Checking and preparing customer artwork so it's print-ready
• Picking up artwork errors and issues before they reach production
• Making artwork amendments and producing proofs for customer approval
• Setting up files with correct bleed, resolution, colour and spot colours
• Assisting with colour matching under the guidance of senior staff
• Working closely with the Customer Service and Production teams to keep jobs moving and on time

About you

• Basic to intermediate skills in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign
• A qualification or background in Graphic Design, Prepress, Printing or a related field (preferred)
• A basic understanding of CMYK, Pantone and spot colours, bleed, resolution and general print production requirements
• Excellent attention to detail, with a sharp eye for artwork errors
• The ability to follow instructions and work accurately to deadlines
• Good organisation and time-management skills
• A positive attitude, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work well in a team
