Junior Procurement Manager (Construction)

About the role

The Moment Group is seeking a Junior Procurement Manager (Construction) to join our dynamic team in Makati City, Metro Manila. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in supporting our construction projects through effective procurement management. You will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing the procurement of materials, equipment, and services essential to our construction operations. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your procurement expertise within the construction industry whilst contributing directly to the successful delivery of our projects.

Key responsibilities:

• Identifying and evaluating potential suppliers and vendors for construction materials, equipment, and services
• Preparing and issuing purchase orders, quotation requests, and procurement documentation
• Negotiating terms, pricing, and delivery schedules with suppliers to achieve cost efficiency and quality standards
• Coordinating with project managers and site teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment
• Maintaining accurate records of purchase orders, invoices, and supplier agreements
• Monitoring supplier performance and managing relationships to ensure compliance with contractual obligations
• Conducting market research and analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities and alternative suppliers
• Processing and reconciling invoices and resolving discrepancies with suppliers
• Supporting inventory management and stock control processes
• Assisting with the development and implementation of procurement policies and procedures

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field

• Licensed Engineer

• Over 8 years of procurement or purchasing experience, preferably within the construction industry

• Strong knowledge of construction materials, equipment, and industry practices

• Excellent negotiation and communication skills with the ability to build effective supplier relationships

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and procurement software systems

• Strong organisational and time management abilities with capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

• Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in documentation and record-keeping

• Understanding of supply chain principles and inventory management concepts

• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams

• Knowledge of procurement best practices and cost management strategies

• Preferred: Experience with construction project management or familiarity with Philippine construction standards and regulations

• Open to work onsite in Makati
