Junior Production Manager

Pay: $23.00/per hour - full time, contracted

We are looking for an organized, dependable Junior Production Manager to assist our production and project management team. This is a hands-on, entry-level position for someone who is highly organized, can manage multiple jobs at the same time, and has strong follow-through.

We are willing to train the right person on our production processes, shipping systems, and workflow. The goal is for this person to learn the business and eventually be able to manage their own jobs from start to finish.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily production, assembly, packaging, and project activities.
• Manage multiple jobs and priorities at the same time.
• Assist with taking jobs from initial setup through completion.
• Learn and follow established production workflows and procedures.
• Prepare shipping labels, shipping lists, and other shipping documentation.
• Enter and update shipping information and databases.
• Assist with assembling, packaging, labeling, and preparing completed jobs for shipment.
• Track job progress and make sure deadlines and requirements are met.
• Maintain accurate job files, documentation, spreadsheets, and databases.
• Communicate with production staff regarding priorities, changes, and deadlines.
• Follow up on outstanding items to make sure nothing falls through the cracks.
• Identify issues that may delay a job and bring them to the attention of management.
• Work closely with Production and Project Managers to keep jobs moving smoothly.
• Take ownership of assigned jobs and follow them through to completion.

Qualifications

• Junior/entry-level position — production experience is not required.
• Extremely organized and detail-oriented.
• Able to multitask and manage several jobs at the same time.
• Strong follow-through and ability to take ownership of assigned work.
• Dependable, responsible, and willing to learn.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.
• Able to perform both computer-based administrative work and hands-on production/assembly tasks.
• Good communication skills. Bilingual is a plus.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
• Comfortable learning shipping software, databases, and other company systems.
• Previous experience in production, assembly, shipping, warehouse, administrative support, or project coordination is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate.

Schedule: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 per hour, based on experience
