About the Studio
We're a team of architects who'd rather make something interesting than something expected. We design clever spaces that aren't outlandish or lacking purpose — polished in execution, unconventional in approach, and unbothered by that contradiction.
Ignore what you know about architecture firms. The day-to-day work of moving projects from design to drawings is exactly what you'd expect. What doesn't fit the mold is the posture of our leadership and culture. Our standard is communication, consistency, and quality, and we mean it.
We are creators, innovators, and designers, but we do more than that. We're envelope-pushers, space-makers, and community-builders — people who'd rather question the status quo of the built environment than quietly produce what's always been produced. We like to think big and small: ambitious concepts without losing the details, and no reaching for old projects for quick and dirty drawings. Our default position is that we're solid people — easy to work with, fun to be around, and void of pretension.
The Role
We're hiring a Junior Project Architect to join our Atlanta studio. As a Junior Project Architect, you'll carry projects from design through drawings alongside leadership that treats you like a colleague rather than a production line. This Junior Project Architect role is built for someone who wants to help shape a more thoughtful built environment — and who'd rather argue about a detail than quietly accept a bad one. Our Atlanta studio is one of several across the country, and this role is based here.
This is an in-person role. We work together in the studio every day, because the arguments, the redlines and the half-formed ideas that turn into good buildings happen shoulder to shoulder, at the plotter and at the pin-up wall — not over a screen share.
What You'll Do
- Produce drawing sets across schematic design, design development, and construction documents — clean, precise, and buildable
- Balance creativity against tight timelines and budgets, because both are real
- Coordinate with structural, MEP, civil, and landscape consultants; keep the process collaborative and fun, as those two things influence each other here
- Translate design intent into buildable detail and push back when a detail doesn't hold up
- Run code analysis and permitting submissions for the City of Atlanta and surrounding jurisdictions
- Support construction administration: RFIs, submittals, site observation, punch lists
- Bring new thinking rather than a template — this studio is contrary to popular belief, and we mean it
- Contribute to studio culture: pin-ups, lunch-and-learns, and time to actually enjoy life when the work allows
What You Bring
- 4–8 years of professional experience in an architecture studio
- Able to work on site in the Atlanta studio five days a week
- Licensed architect, or actively pursuing licensure (we support ARE fees and study time)
- Proficiency in Revit; working knowledge of AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite. Rhino and Enscape a plus
- Demonstrated experience on projects through construction documents and into CA
- Working knowledge of IBC and Georgia building codes
- Strong graphic communication — you can make a diagram that ends an argument
- Bachelor of Architecture or Master of Architecture from an accredited program
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $85,000 – $110,000, based on experience and licensure status
- Full-time in the Atlanta studio — the collaboration that only comes from being in the same room
- Health, dental, and vision coverage
- 401(k) with match
- ARE exam fees, study materials, and paid exam days
- Professional development and conference budget
- AIA membership and licensure renewal covered
- Generous PTO
