Role Overview
We are looking for a motivated Junior Project Engineer – Fitout to support site execution and technical coordination of interior fitout projects in Dubai. This role is ideal for an early-career engineer who wants to build hands-on experience in fitout project delivery, working closely with senior engineers and project managers.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in day-to-day site execution and supervision of fitout works (civil, MEP, joinery, finishes)
• Support preparation of shop drawings, material submittals, and technical documentation
• Coordinate with site supervisors, subcontractors, and vendors on daily work progress
• Track material delivery, consumption, and wastage against BOQs
• Assist in quality checks and ensure work complies with approved drawings and specifications
• Maintain daily progress reports, site diaries, and photographic records
• Support snagging/de-snagging and punch list activities prior to handover
• Coordinate with the procurement team for material and equipment requirements
• Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards on site
• Assist senior engineers/project managers in resolving on-site technical issues
• Follow up on RFIs, approvals, and inspection schedules with consultants/authorities and Dubai municipality/DM approvals where relevant

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
• 1–3 years of experience in fitout, interior, or construction projects (UAE experience preferred)
• Working knowledge of fitout materials, finishes, and construction methods
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD; familiarity with MS Project/Excel is a plus
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings
• Good communication and coordination skills
• Willingness to work on-site and travel between project locations across Dubai/UAE
• Strong attention to detail and eagerness to learn
• UAE driving license preferred

Preferred Attributes

• Prior experience in commercial, retail, or corporate interior fitout projects in the UAE
• Basic understanding of HSE practices on construction sites (Dubai Municipality/Trakhees standards)
• Team player with a proactive, hands-on attitude
