Junior Project Engineer

About the role

The Junior Project Engineer is responsible for managing, handling and resolving all technical issues related to rotating equipment (pumps, compressors, steam turbines, hydraulic coupling) installed at customer sites in power plants, refineries, petrochemicals and oil & gas facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Work closely with original equipment manufacturer/OEM and local technical staff members to provide products, solutions and services to existing and potential customers
• Coordinate and manage small to medium sized projects which may involve other stakeholders (internal team, subcontractors, suppliers, clients)
• Work independently with minimum supervision and as a team to realize targets and objectives
• Travel to and perform hands-on work at customer sites on a regular basis
• Perform any task as assigned by the superior, including non-sales administrative duties

About you

• Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering required
• 2-3 years or more of relevant experience preferred
• Relevant knowledge and experience in the Power Plant and/or Oil & Gas industry preferred
• Fluent in Bahasa Malaysia and English
• Computer literate with competency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
• Highly organized, motivated, detail-oriented
• Able to work independently with excellent time-management skills
