Junior Project Manager – Expression of Interest

We’re currently exploring interest for a Junior Project Manager to join our team and work alongside our existing Project Manager.

This would suit someone with a building or construction background who is looking to take the next step into project management and develop their skills across the full delivery of structural steel projects.

What the role will involve

Day to day, you’ll be involved in a mix of project coordination and practical problem-solving, including:

• Liaising with clients, builders, suppliers and subcontractors

• Coordinating with our internal workshop and install team

• Helping keep project programmes, priorities and deadlines on track

• Assisting with detailing and drawing coordination

• Organising deliveries, site requirements and logistics

• Following up information and helping keep projects moving

• Supporting the Project Manager across multiple live projects

No two days are exactly the same, so we’re looking for someone who is comfortable communicating with different people, can stay organised, and isn’t afraid to get involved and work through problems as they come up.

Who we’re looking for

Ideally, you’ll have some previous experience within the building or construction industry, whether that’s been on site, in an office, in detailing, estimating, coordination, or a combination of these.

Previous project management experience would be useful, but it’s not essential.

More important to us is someone who:

• Understands how construction projects come together and can read plans

• Communicates well and builds good working relationships

• Is organised and can juggle competing priorities

• Takes ownership and follows things through

• Is keen to learn and develop into a capable Project Manager

• Has a practical, solutions-focused mindset

You don’t need the perfect CV. If you’ve got good construction exposure, the right attitude and the potential to grow into the role, we’d be keen to hear from you.

This is an opportunity to learn the role hands-on, work closely with an experienced Project Manager, and become involved in projects from initial coordination right through to fabrication, delivery and site completion.
