Heavy Civil Engineering Contractor

We are seeking a motivated Junior Project Manager to support the successful planning and execution of heavy civil construction projects. This position is ideal for someone eager to grow their career while working closely with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, municipalities, and field teams.

Responsibilities

• Assist with project estimating, bid preparation, and quantity takeoffs

• Support the submittal and document-control process

• Communicate with engineers, municipalities, inspectors, subcontractors, and vendors

• Coordinate subcontractor schedules and project inspections

• Create and maintain project budgets, cost reports, and schedules

• Assist with project documentation, meeting coordination, and progress tracking

• Support project managers with day-to-day administrative and field needs

• Develop a strong understanding of heavy civil construction operations and project management

Qualifications

• Previous field or construction experience.

• Familiarity with construction plans, specifications, schedules, and budgets

• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with construction management software is a plus

• Ability to read and interpret plans and technical documents

• Willingness to learn, take initiative, and assist wherever needed

• Ability to work collaboratively in both office and field environments

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related experience preferred not required
