What they need
Trinity CSG is looking for a motivated, organized, and dependable Junior Project Manager to join our team. This position will work directly alongside our Senior Project Manager and Project Estimator, assisting with the planning, coordination, estimating, organization, and execution of commercial and oilfield construction projects.
We are looking for someone with a background in construction, preferably with experience in earthwork, demolition, concrete, underground utilities, or general site construction. While 3+ years of relevant construction experience is preferred, we are also open to recent college graduates with a degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, Civil Engineering, or a related field. We are willing to train and develop the right candidate who demonstrates a strong work ethic, organizational skills, a willingness to learn, and an interest in building a career in construction project management.
This position will focus primarily on assisting our Senior Project Manager and Division Mangers with day-to-day project management responsibilities, including project coordination, scheduling, job costing, documentation, subcontractor coordination, and communication between office and field operations.
The Junior Project Manager will also assist with estimating, bidding, preconstruction, and other operational responsibilities as needed. The ideal candidate should be capable of receiving assignments, understanding the objectives, organizing the necessary information, and following tasks through to completion with minimal supervision.
While previous project management experience is preferred, we are also interested in candidates with strong construction backgrounds who are looking to develop their project management skills and grow within our company.
Key Responsibilities
- Work directly with the Senior Project Manager and Division Managers to assist with daily project management duties and responsibilities
- Assist with planning, organizing, coordinating, and tracking commercial and oilfield construction projects
- Help manage project schedules, timelines, milestones, and coordination of field activities
- Assist with coordinating labor, equipment, materials, subcontractors, vendors, and other project resources
- Communicate effectively with field personnel, management, customers, general contractors, vendors, and subcontractors
- Monitor project progress and assist with identifying scheduling conflicts, delays, and potential issues
- Assist with tracking project budgets, job costs, quantities, and overall financial performance
- Help monitor labor, equipment, material, and subcontractor costs throughout construction
- Assist with preparing, reviewing, and tracking change orders, purchase orders, subcontractor agreements, and other project documentation
- Review and understand construction plans, specifications, bid documents, contracts, scopes of work, and project requirements
- Read through, understand, and decipher bid packages, scopes of work, contracts, specifications, and related construction documents
- Assist with preparing estimates, takeoffs, and bids for commercial and oilfield construction projects
- Help develop labor, equipment, material, subcontractor, and supplier pricing
- Solicit, review, compare, and organize subcontractor and vendor quotes
- Assist with preparing bid proposals, clarifications, inclusions, and exclusions
- Track bid opportunities, deadlines, addenda, revisions, and required submissions
- Maintain organized project files, schedules, takeoffs, proposals, quotes, contracts, and project documentation
- Assist with tracking RFIs, submittals, change orders, project revisions, and related correspondence
- Assist with reviewing subcontractor and vendor invoices, quantities, and supporting documentation
- Attend project meetings as needed, document important information, and follow up on assigned tasks
- Visit active jobsites as needed to review progress, understand field conditions, and assist with project coordination
- Help ensure field personnel have the necessary information, documentation, and resources to perform their work
- Assist with identifying potential scope gaps, discrepancies, cost overruns, and contractual or financial risks
- Support the Senior Project Manager with project closeout, punch lists, and final project requirements
- Help improve project management procedures, organization, communication, and overall workflow
- Take ownership of assigned tasks and follow them through to completion

- Makes decisions with the best interests of the company and team in mind
- Takes pride in helping the company succeed, not just completing individual responsibilities
- Wants to grow professionally and take on additional responsibilities within the company
At Trinity CSG, we operate as a team. We are looking for someone who wants to contribute to the company's growth, support the people around them, and become an important part of our operation.
This position provides an opportunity to work directly with our Senior Project Manager, gain hands-on experience in all aspects of construction project management, and develop the skills necessary to take on greater responsibilities over time.
Our goal is to find someone who can become a dependable member of our project management team, assist with managing projects efficiently and profitably, and continue growing with Trinity CSG.
