About Day Home Improvements Co.

Day Home Improvements Co. is a growing residential and commercial home improvement company based in Hopkinton, Massachusetts. We specialize in fencing, decking, siding, and a variety of interior and exterior improvement projects. We take pride in delivering quality craftsmanship, dependable service, and exceptional customer experiences.

We're seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and motivated Junior Project Manager to help coordinate and oversee projects from contract approval through completion.

About the Role

The Junior Project Manager will play an essential role in ensuring our residential and commercial projects are completed efficiently, on schedule, and to our company's quality standards. This position combines project coordination, customer communication, scheduling, and on-site project oversight.

The ideal candidate is an exceptional communicator who can manage multiple priorities, anticipate potential challenges, and ensure that no detail falls through the cracks. This individual must be comfortable working both independently and collaboratively with customers, sales consultants, installation crews, subcontractors, and company leadership.

This is a hands-on position that requires regular travel to job sites to monitor work in progress, address concerns, and verify project completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate residential and commercial improvement projects from contract approval through final completion.
  • Visit active job sites to monitor installation progress, assess workmanship, and ensure projects are proceeding according to established plans and expectations.
  • Conduct project completion visits to verify that work meets company quality standards and customer expectations.
  • Maintain consistent, professional communication with customers, providing timely updates on project schedules, progress, and any changes.
  • Coordinate installation schedules, subcontractors, material deliveries, and other project logistics.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact between customers, installation teams, subcontractors, and company leadership.
  • Monitor project timelines, identify potential delays or issues, and proactively coordinate solutions.
  • Maintain accurate, detailed project records, photographs, documentation, and status updates within company management software.
  • Review project details and specifications to ensure installation teams have the information necessary to complete work accurately.
  • Follow up on outstanding tasks, punch-list items, and customer concerns to ensure timely resolution.
  • Collaborate with sales consultants to ensure a seamless transition from the sales process to project execution.
  • Support company leadership in improving operational efficiency, project workflows, and overall customer satisfaction.

Required Qualifications

  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple active projects, schedules, and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate professionally with customers, subcontractors, and internal team members.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy, quality, and thorough follow-through.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize responsibilities, and take initiative without constant supervision.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to respond effectively to unexpected challenges.
  • Professional demeanor and a customer-service-oriented mindset.
  • Proficiency with computers, email, and digital management systems.
  • Valid driver's license, current automobile insurance, and a reliable vehicle for regular travel to residential and commercial job sites.
  • Ability and willingness to travel throughout assigned service territories to oversee work in progress and completed installations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of experience in project coordination, construction, home improvement, field operations, or a related role.
  • Familiarity with residential or commercial construction, particularly fencing, decking, siding, or remodeling.
  • Experience coordinating subcontractors, vendors, or installation crews.
  • Experience using project management software or CRM systems.
  • Experience conducting job-site visits, quality inspections, or project completion walkthroughs.

What Makes Someone Successful in This Role?

We're looking for someone who is naturally organized, communicates proactively, and takes pride in getting the details right. The successful candidate will be comfortable balancing office-based coordination with hands-on field responsibilities and will recognize the importance of keeping projects, customers, and installation teams informed and on track.

While previous construction experience is valuable, we are equally interested in candidates who demonstrate strong organizational abilities, sound judgment, reliability, and a willingness to learn.

Why Join Day Home Improvements Co.?

  • Opportunity to grow professionally within a locally owned and expanding company.
  • Hands-on experience managing both residential and commercial improvement projects.
  • Direct collaboration with experienced company leadership.
  • A dynamic role combining project management, field operations, and customer relations.
  • Opportunity to make a meaningful impact on project quality, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

Interested candidates should submit a resume highlighting relevant experience in project coordination, construction, operations, scheduling, or customer service.
