Junior Project Manager - Renovations

Job Summary

We have an immediate opening for a Junior Project Manager based out of our office in Hamilton, Ontario. The Junior Project Manager will work closely with our Senior Project Manager to assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of residential and commercial renovation projects. This role is ideal for someone looking to grow their career in construction project management while gaining hands-on experience managing projects from estimating through completion.

Required Education, Skills and Qualifications

• 1-2 years experience with a GC within the commercial/residential construction industry

• Willingness to travel; a valid driver’s license is required

• Good understanding of building drawings and specifications

• Ability to provide simultaneous support for needs across multiple projects in varying phases.

• Strong analytical and detail-oriented skills are critical, along with exceptional time management and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication skills, both orally and written

• Self-motivated with strong interpersonal skills to effectively interact with all teams and levels in the organization

• Proficient in various MS computer applications. Familiar with the program "Buildertrend" is preferred.

• Responsible for accurately calculating the final estimated project cost, ensuring to cover all costs which may occur while preforming the job. Project costs include but not limited to: necessary materials, labour and equipment cost that is required to successfully carry out a construction project according to proposals, plans, estimates and specifications.

• Professionally prepares contracts and negotiate revisions, changes and additions to contractual agreements with architects, consultants, general contractors, suppliers and subcontractors, provides to chief estimator for approval before submitting.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
