Junior Purchase Executive

Position Summary:

As a Purchase Executive you will be instrumental in managing and optimizing our procurement processes. You will work closely with suppliers, internal departments, and vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services. Your role will require a keen eye for detail, excellent negotiation skills, and a strategic approach to purchasing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Vendor Management:

• Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers and vendors.

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure favorable terms and reliable delivery.

• Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues related to quality, delivery, or service.

• Procurement Processes:

• Conduct market research to stay informed about market trends and pricing.

• Prepare and issue purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies.

• Negotiate prices, terms, and conditions with suppliers to achieve the best possible deals.

• Inventory Management:

• Monitor inventory levels and forecast future needs to avoid stockouts or overstock situations.

• Collaborate with the inventory team to plan and manage inventory levels effectively.

• Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain accurate records of purchases, including invoices, contracts, and delivery notes.

• Prepare reports on procurement activities, spend analysis, and supplier performance.

• Compliance and Quality Assurance:

• Ensure that all procurement activities comply with company policies and legal regulations.

• Assess and manage risks related to procurement and supplier relationships.

• Collaboration:

• Work with internal departments, such as Finance, Operations, and Production, to understand their purchasing needs and priorities.

• Provide support and information to other team members as needed.

Qualifications:

• Education:
• Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience:
• 2+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management.
• Proven experience in negotiating contracts and managing supplier relationships.
• Skills:
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and procurement software (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• High level of attention to detail and organizational skills.
