Junior Quality Specialist

Wellevate is a global enterprise providing integrated communications and business services to clients in Europe and beyond. We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Quality Specialist to join our team in the Philippines.

In this role, you will support software quality assurance activities, including functional testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), issue identification, root cause analysis, and quality documentation. You will work closely with development and internal teams to ensure that software functionality meets business requirements, established quality standards, and approved processes.

We welcome fresh graduates who are eager to learn and develop their skills in software testing and quality assurance. Candidates with at least one year of relevant experience are preferred, but prior work experience is not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in software testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure features work as expected and meet business requirements.
• Review business requirements and user stories to understand expected system functionality and acceptance criteria.
• Follow test cases, document testing results, and report identified issues.
• Identify, document, and report software bugs, errors, and unexpected system behavior.
• Review system features and layouts to ensure they align with business requirements and approved UI/UX designs.
• Review SOPs, QERs, UAT documents, and other quality-related records to ensure accuracy, completeness, consistency, and alignment with established business standards and procedures.
• Assist in preparing, updating, and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Quality Escalation Reports (QERs), and other supporting documents.
• Ensure testing results, reported issues, and supporting documentation are properly recorded and maintained.
• Coordinate with the Development Team to report issues, clarify findings, and follow up on fixes.
• Perform retesting to verify that reported bugs have been resolved and document the results.
• Monitor QERs and follow up with relevant teams regarding outstanding issues, corrective actions, and required updates.
• Assist in conducting Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to identify underlying issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Assist in identifying possible causes of recurring software issues and tracking short-term and long-term solutions.
• Organize and maintain testing records, issue trackers, and quality-related documents in SharePoint and other designated systems.
• Collect and document feedback from users and internal stakeholders.
• Assist in preparing reports and monitoring the status of testing activities, reported issues, and pending actions.
• Support process improvements and other software quality assurance tasks as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply; previous work experience is preferred.
• Basic understanding of software testing and quality assurance.
• Ability to understand business requirements, user stories, and expected system functionality.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy, consistency, and quality.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good written and verbal English communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and SharePoint.
• Ability to review documents, identify inconsistencies, and maintain accurate records.
• Ability to organize tasks, manage documentation, and follow up on reported issues.
• Willingness to learn new software systems, tools, and processes.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with different teams.
• Basic knowledge of Figma and UI/UX design principles is an advantage.
• Familiarity with test cases, bug reporting, or software testing tools is an advantage.
• Exposure to UAT, functional testing, or regression testing through academic projects, internships, or previous experience is an advantage.
• Familiarity with SOP documentation, issue tracking, or quality assurance processes is an advantage.
• Graduates from the Big 4 universities in the Philippines are preferred but not required: University of the Philippines (UP), Ateneo de Manila University (ADMU), De La Salle University (DLSU), or University of Santo Tomas (UST).

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary of PHP 20,000 to 25,000 per month.
