About the role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team at SKALA REKA SDN BHD in Johor Bahru, Johor. As a Junior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in the construction estimating process, contributing to the success of our projects through your technical expertise and problem-solving skills.

What you'll be doing

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for construction projects
• Analyse project plans, drawings, and specifications to quantify materials and labour requirements
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and contractors to ensure accurate and comprehensive cost estimates
• Assist in the preparation of tender documents and bid submissions
• Monitor and track project costs, identifying potential savings and cost-effective solutions
• Provide technical support and advice to project teams throughout the construction process
• Maintain detailed records and documentation of all cost-related activities

What we're looking for

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field
• Excellent knowledge of construction materials, methods, and cost estimation techniques
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Proficiency in using construction estimating software and project management tools
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Familiarity with construction regulations, standards, and industry best practices
