Junior Quantity Surveyor

We are looking for a detail-oriented Junior Quantity Surveyor to support subcontractor payment processing, quantity verification, and documentation for ongoing building projects. The ideal candidate will have strong measurement skills, good commercial awareness, and the ability to coordinate effectively with site teams and subcontractors.

Prepare & verify subcontractor payment applications based on approved drawings, site progress, & BOQ quantities.

Conduct quantity take-offs for architectural & structural components using POMI/NRM standards.

Review subcontractor invoices, compare with actual site progress, and highlight discrepancies.

Coordinate with site engineers for joint measurements and progress confirmation.

Assist in preparing variation claims, re-measurements, and updated cost summaries.

Maintain accurate records of measurements, approvals, correspondence, and payment logs.

Support cost control activities by monitoring subcontractor budgets and commitments.

Ensure compliance with contract terms, project specifications, and FIDIC principles.

Desired Candidate Profile

Bachelor’s degree: Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or Construction Management.

Minimum 2 years GCC experience in Building projects, preferably with subcontractor coordination exposure.

Strong ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, ID drawings.

Proficiency in measurement, take-offs, and progress verification.

Familiarity with Plan Swift, AutoCAD, and advanced Excel.

Basic understanding of construction materials, market rates, and contractual frameworks (FIDIC).

Strong communication skills for dealing with subcontractors, project managers, and site teams.

High accuracy and attention to detail in calculations and documentation.
