JUNIOR QUANTITY SURVEYOR

About the role

We are a main contractor specialising in high end bungalow, residential and renovation projects. We are looking for a Junior Quantity Surveyor to join our contracts team and grow with us.

Key responsibilities

• Taking off quantities and preparing bills of quantities in accordance with SMM2
• Assisting in tender preparation, subcontractor and supplier enquiries, and tender comparison
• Preparing monthly progress claims to clients and consultants, and evaluating subcontractor claims
• Pricing and recording variation orders, site instructions and provisional sum adjustments
• Carrying out site measurement, valuation of work done and material reconciliation
• Assisting in cost monitoring, budget control and final account preparation
• Preparing correspondence to clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers
• Maintaining proper documentation and filing of contract records

About you

• Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building, Construction Management or equivalent
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply. 1 to 2 years of main contractor experience is an advantage
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD for drawing take off
• Competent in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Familiarity with PAM 2006 or PAM 2018 forms of contract is an added advantage
• Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia, written and spoken
• Possess own transport and willing to travel to site as required
• Meticulous, willing to learn and able to work under deadlines
