We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Quantity Surveyor with experience in landscape, swimming pool and construction projects. The candidate will support the commercial team in quantity take-offs, cost estimation, BOQ preparation, subcontractor coordination, project cost monitoring and variation assessments to ensure effective cost control and smooth project execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing Bills of Quantities (BOQs), cost estimates and material take-offs based on drawings and project specifications.
• Perform quantity take-offs for civil, landscape, hardscape, softscape, irrigation and swimming pool works.
• Assist in preparing tender documents, quotations, cost comparisons and commercial proposals.
• Review project drawings, specifications and contract documents to identify scope requirements.
• Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors and project teams to obtain quotations and evaluate costs.
• Assist in preparing and monitoring project budgets, cost reports and cash flow statements.
• Support the preparation and evaluation of variation orders, interim payment applications and final accounts.
• Maintain records of project expenses, subcontractor payments, material costs and contractual documentation.
• Conduct site visits to verify actual quantities, monitor progress and support measurement activities.
• Assist in preparing subcontractor work orders, purchase requests and payment certifications.
• Identify potential cost-saving opportunities while maintaining project quality and specifications.
• Ensure accurate documentation and timely submission of commercial reports.
• Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, procurement and other departments on quantity and cost-related matters.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or a related field.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience in quantity surveying within construction, landscaping or swimming pool projects.
• Knowledge of BOQ preparation, quantity take-offs, cost estimation and project cost control.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and contractual documents.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and AutoCAD; knowledge of CANDY or other quantity surveying software is an advantage.
• Basic understanding of contracts, variations, interim valuations and subcontractor management.
• Strong analytical, numerical and organizational skills.
• Good communication, coordination and problem-solving abilities.
• UAE experience is preferred.
