Junior Quantity Surveyor (Structural Steel Works)

About the role

To manage the contract administration process, both pre and post tender stages.

Key responsibilities

• Review tender drawings and specification to ensure all measurements and quantities are accounted for to achieve realistic commercial value for each project
• Prepare bill of quantities which involves quantity take-off in excel sheet, materials sourcing, measuring, and estimating material and labour costs used in the tendering process
• Prepare tender quotations for review with management and submission to clients
• Provide procurement support during contract phase and sourcing of local and/or overseas vendors
• Prepare monthly progress claims, including variation orders claims
• Monitor project budget and perform cost controlling
• Prepare cash flow data progressively
• Finalize project accounts/claims
• Perform other duties and task assigned by immediate supervisor

About you

• Preferred with 2 years' experience in steel structure fabrication or similar field, but fresh graduates welcomed to apply
• Diploma or higher education in civil & Structural engineering, quantity surveying or similar field
• Meticulous, analytical and eye for detail
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and tight schedules
• Highly motivated, self-driven with initiative to work independently
• Sound computer literacy, including advance skills in excel
• Advance level of English, in both written and spoken
