Junior Recruiter - Human Resources

About the role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior HR Recruiter to join our growing HR team. This role is ideal for someone with 2–3 years of recruitment experience who is eager to develop their talent acquisition skills in a fast-paced environment. You will support end-to-end recruitment activities, ensuring a smooth and positive experience for both candidates and hiring managers.

Key responsibilities

• Talent Sourcing: Utilize multiple channels (job portals, social media, referrals, campus recruitment) to identify and attract qualified candidates.
• Screening & Assessment: Review resumes, conduct initial phone screenings, and coordinate interviews with hiring managers.
• Interview Coordination: Schedule and manage interview logistics, including room bookings, video conferencing, and candidate communications.
• Candidate Experience: Ensure timely follow-ups and provide a positive experience for all applicants, regardless of outcome.
• Job Posting: Draft and publish job advertisements on relevant platforms (JobStreet, LinkedIn, etc.).
• Database Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate records.
• Offer Support: Assist in preparing offer letters and coordinating pre-employment checks.
• Reporting: Track recruitment metrics (time-to-fill, source effectiveness) and provide regular updates to the HR Manager.
• Compliance: Ensure recruitment practices align with Malaysian employment laws and company policies.

About you

• 2–3 years of hands-on recruitment experience, preferably in a corporate or agency setting.
• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
• Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia (both written and spoken); other languages are an added advantage.
• Familiarity with job portals (JobStreet, LinkedIn Recruiter, etc.).
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills; able to multitask and meet deadlines.
• Basic understanding of Malaysian Employment Act 1955 and statutory requirements (EPF, SOCSO, EIS) is preferred.
