Are you excited by the opportunity to turn engineering data into insights that improve the reliability and performance of offshore wind turbines? In this role, you will support reliability engineering across project development, construction and operations for offshore wind turbine assets in Europe and APAC.

About the role

  • Support reliability engineering activities throughout project development, construction and operations for offshore wind turbine assets.
  • Perform reliability analyses of wind turbine components and subsystems, including modelling failure rates for critical mechanical and electrical components.
  • Monitor turbine reliability and availability indicators and analyse operational and maintenance data.
  • Collect, structure and analyse data from SCADA, CMMS and engineering databases while maintaining reliability records and analysis repositories.
  • Contribute to investigations into component failures and unplanned downtime, including root cause and failure analyses.
  • Maintain and improve component failure mode and criticality databases and internal component failure prediction models.
  • Develop and implement reliability improvement initiatives based on engineering and operational insights.
  • Identify, resolve and mitigate technical issues, including EOW claims and the assessment of technical risks and opportunities.

Job requirements and experience

  • Completed bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • One to three years of relevant professional experience.
  • Fundamental knowledge of Weibull analysis, FMEA/FMECA, root cause analysis and failure analysis.
  • Understanding of drivetrain, generation, pitch and yaw systems, power conversion and SCADA.
  • Basic knowledge of condition monitoring techniques such as vibration analysis, thermography and laboratory analysis.
  • Confident data-handling skills using Excel, Python or MATLAB.
  • Basic knowledge of ISO 14224 and IEC 61400.
  • Business-fluent English and strong communication and negotiation skills.

Advantageous, but not essential

  • Academic focus on reliability engineering.
  • Practical experience gained through an internship or graduate programme.
  • Experience in wind energy, wind turbine manufacturing, utilities, oil and gas, maintenance engineering or quality engineering.
