Junior Research & Development Engineer

Responsibilities:

The missions of the Junior Research & Development Engineer are as follows:

• New Product Design/Evolution of Existing Products:

• Create raw material specifications (KRM and Raw material document)

• Support on R&D studies (sample request, raw material purchases, production, aging, transport)

• Consolidation of the data with close contact with the different departments

• Analyze technical information to document evidence of product safety and performances

• Participates in the drafting of design files.

• Existing Product Change:

• As a participant carries out the actions that are the responsibility of the R&D department (product performance demonstration, etc.).

• Maintenance of existing products:

• Update design files and activities under the responsibility of the R&D department.

• Participate in the investigation of problems related to customer or supplier complaints.

Level of responsibility and decision-making latitude:

• The Research & Development Engineer:

• Act on the basis of the objectives set by his manager and the reference framework of his profession (procedures, standards of the profession, etc.).

• Organize work independently. Is a source of proposals to optimize its work processes. Contributes through analyses and reasoned proposals to the decision-making of its managers on subjects with significant stakes.

• Report on work on a regular basis (weekly to monthly). Its activity is evaluated according to the achievement of the objectives set and compliance with procedures. Its main deliverables are validated by its manager.

R&D activities are performed in compliance with Peters Surgical/AMS France QMS.

Qualification:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineer or Doctor in the field of chemistry and/or mechanics, materials, biology
• Working experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in Research & Development, Product Development, or related fields or a medical device company is a plus

Specific skill/knowledge:

• Minimum desired language level: Advanced (C1 or equivalent) in both written and spoken
• Normative and regulatory knowledge (if applicable): ISO13485, MDR 2017/745, 21 CFR part 820
