Junior Risk Analyst

Role Description This is a part-time, remote role for a Junior Risk Analyst. The Junior Risk Analyst will assist in identifying, assessing, and monitoring financial and operational risks across assigned projects or clients. Daily tasks include collecting and analyzing data, preparing basic risk reports, supporting the development of risk models, and documenting findings in a clear and structured format. The role involves collaborating with senior analysts and other team members, attending virtual meetings, and contributing to recommendations that help improve risk controls and decision-making. The Junior Risk Analyst will also help maintain risk databases, track key risk indicators, and ensure that documentation is accurate and up to date.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret quantitative and qualitative data.
• Foundational knowledge of risk analysis, including identifying, assessing, and prioritizing risks.
• Basic understanding of finance and financial concepts relevant to risk assessment.
• Ability to work with statistics, including interpreting statistical outputs and using simple statistical tools.
• Effective communication skills, including clear written reporting and professional virtual collaboration.
• Comfort with remote work tools and the ability to manage time and tasks independently.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, statistics, business, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Attention to detail, problem-solving mindset, and willingness to learn from senior team members.
• Experience with spreadsheets or basic data analysis software is beneficial.
• Proficiency in English; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
