At Grandons Toyota, we’re looking for an enthusiastic out going Junior Car Sales Apprentice to join our sales team. No previous car sales experience is necessary. We’re more interested in your can-do attitude, personality and willingness to learn.

What will you be doing?

You'll be learning all aspects of the car sales process, including:

• Vehicle presentations: Developing your product knowledge and learning how to showcase our Toyota range, including vehicle features, technology and benefits.
• Marketing: Using our social media platforms to showcase our extensive range, and using our dedicated platforms to take and upload images and video for our website.
• Appointments and test drives: Helping to organise customer appointments and learning how to deliver a professional, welcoming showroom experience.
• Sales and customer relationships: Supporting experienced sales executives and gradually developing the skills and confidence to manage your own customers.
• Vehicle appraisals: Learning how part-exchange vehicles are assessed and valued, working alongside experienced team members.
• Sales administration and vehicle handovers: Gaining practical experience in the processes involved in preparing and delivering new and used vehicles, onbaording customers with the My Toyota App and demonstrating features.
• Product knowledge and training: Keeping up to date with Toyota models, new technology and the latest offers so you can help customers make informed decisions.
• Customer enquiries and follow-ups: Learning how to engage with customers over the phone, by email and in person, building relationships and understanding their needs as your training progresses.

What are we looking for?

You don't need previous experience in car sales. We'll provide the training and support to help you succeed.

• Enjoys and has a natural ability to speak confidently and engage with customers and build relationships.
• Has a positive attitude and a genuine willingness to learn.
• Is confident with making social media content.
• Is enthusiastic about cars, technology and sales.
• Communicates confidently and professionally.
• Is organised, reliable, pays attention to detail and takes instruction well.
• Enjoys working as part of a team but is also motivated to develop their own skills.
• Is comfortable using computers and learning new systems.
• Holds a full, valid driving licence, or meets the driving requirements for the role.
• Work well as part of a team.

Training and Development

You'll receive hands-on training and guidance from our experienced sales team, helping you build your knowledge and confidence at every stage.

Your development will include:

• An introduction to Grandons Toyota, our systems and our approach to customer service.
• Telephone, email and customer communication skills.
• Training in lead management, appointments and vehicle presentations.
• Practical experience in test drives, part-exchange appraisals and vehicle handovers.
• Ongoing coaching, feedback and opportunities to take on greater responsibility as your skills develop.
