We specialize in frozen fruits, vegetables, and other food products, building lasting relationships through reliable supply, product quality, and responsive service.

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a motivated, curious, and organized Junior Sales Associate to join our commercial team. This is an excellent opportunity to learn the international food business, work alongside experienced sales professionals, and build a foundation for a career in sales and account management.

You will initially support the sales team with customer communication, quotations, product information, research, and follow-up. As you expand your product knowledge and experience, you will begin identifying new opportunities and taking greater responsibility for customer accounts. Previous food industry experience is welcome but not required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support sales managers in serving existing customers and developing new business.
  • Prepare customer quotations, product presentations, and proposals with guidance from the sales team.
  • Follow up on customer inquiries, product samples, pricing requests, and sales opportunities.
  • Research prospective customers and identify potential opportunities for SFI products.
  • Coordinate with supply, logistics, quality assurance, and customer service teams to provide accurate and timely information.
  • Maintain customer records, sales activity, and follow-up tasks in company systems.
  • Develop knowledge of our products, sourcing regions, packaging options, and customer requirements.
  • Participate in customer meetings, trade shows, and industry events when appropriate.
  • Gradually assume responsibility for selected customers and sales opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Clear and professional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Service-oriented approach with an interest in building customer relationships.
  • Strong organizational skills and consistent follow-through.
  • Comfort working with numbers, spreadsheets, pricing, and basic commercial calculations.
  • Initiative and confidence to ask questions, contact prospective customers, and learn from feedback.
  • Strong attention to detail when working with pricing, specifications, and customer commitments.
  • Ability to collaborate across departments and manage competing priorities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Willingness to learn CRM and ERP systems.

A bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, agriculture, food science, or a related field is helpful, but equivalent experience will also be considered. Recent graduates and candidates with up to two years of relevant experience are encouraged to apply.

The following are helpful but not required:

  • Experience in sales, customer service, or the food industry.
  • Spanish or other language skills.
  • International experience or exposure.

What Success Looks Like

During your first year, you will build a working knowledge of our products and commercial processes, become a dependable resource for the sales team, and manage customer follow-up with increasing independence.
