What they need

Description:

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated, relationship-driven Junior Business/Development Sales Representative to join our medical gas sales team. This position will be responsible for developing new business, building relationships with healthcare facilities and contractors, and growing sales throughout Ohio, Southern Michigan, Northern Kentucky, and Western Indiana.

The ideal candidate is an energetic self-starter who enjoys working in the field, developing professional relationships, identifying new opportunities, and learning the technical and regulatory aspects of medical gas systems.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in medical gas, healthcare construction, facility services, or technical sales.

Territory

Ohio | Southern Michigan | Northern Kentucky | Western Indiana

The position will require regular regional travel to meet with customers, prospects, contractors, engineers, healthcare organizations, and other industry professionals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop new business opportunities within the assigned territory.
  • Identify and prospect hospitals, surgery centers, medical facilities, nursing facilities, healthcare systems, medical gas contractors, mechanical contractors, engineers, architects, and other potential customers.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers, contractors, facility managers, purchasing departments, engineers, and healthcare professionals.
  • Make outbound sales calls, conduct in-person visits, attend meetings, and participate in industry events.
  • Develop a strong understanding of medical gas systems, equipment, services, and applications.
  • Learn and communicate the value of the company's medical gas products and services.
  • Assist with preparing quotes, proposals, presentations, and sales opportunities.
  • Follow up consistently on leads, proposals, projects, and customer opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate customer and prospect information in the company's CRM.
  • Monitor construction projects and healthcare facility developments for potential sales opportunities.
  • Work closely with senior sales representatives, operations, and management to support successful customer relationships and project execution.
  • Develop a pipeline of prospective customers and maintain regular communication throughout the sales process.
  • Participate in customer site visits and project meetings.
  • Identify opportunities for additional products and services with existing customers.
  • Stay informed about industry developments, healthcare construction activity, and applicable medical gas standards and requirements.
  • Meet established sales activity, revenue, and business-development goals.

What Success Looks Like

During the first year, the successful candidate will:

  • Build a strong prospect list throughout the assigned territory.
  • Develop relationships with key healthcare and contractor accounts.
  • Generate qualified leads and new sales opportunities.
  • Become knowledgeable about medical gas products, systems, and applications.
  • Learn the medical gas sales process from prospecting through closing.
  • Establish a consistent schedule of customer visits and prospecting activity.
  • Build a sustainable sales pipeline and contribute to territory revenue growth.

Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who is hungry, professional, personable, and willing to learn. You do not need to be a medical gas expert on day one. The right candidate will receive training and mentorship while developing the technical knowledge necessary to succeed.

The ideal person enjoys being in front of customers, is comfortable picking up the phone and making introductions, and understands that successful business development is built on trust, responsiveness, follow-through, and long-term relationships.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive base salary plus performance-based compensation.
  • Company vehicle
  • Travel reimbursement.
  • Cell phone and technology support.
  • Medical, dental, and vision benefits.
  • Paid time off and holidays.

  • Opportunity for advancement into a **Senior Sales?**role.
