Junior Salon Assistant

We are looking for a friendly, reliable and enthusiastic Junior Salon Assistant to join our independent hair and beauty salon based in Ealing, West London.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is currently studying hairdressing or someone with a genuine interest in starting a career in the industry.

No previous salon experience is necessary, as training and guidance will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

• Shampooing and preparing clients for hair services
• Welcoming clients and assisting with appointments
• Keeping styling stations, equipment and salon areas clean and organised
• Sweeping hair and maintaining salon cleanliness throughout the day
• Preparing towels, products and equipment for stylist
• Assisting with mixing and applying hair colour under supervision and following training
• Learning basic blow-drying and styling techniques
• Supporting stylists with their daily appointments
• Helping with the general day-to-day running of the salon

About You

We are looking for someone who:

• Has a genuine interest in hairdressing

• Has good communication skills
• Takes pride in maintaining a clean working environment
• Is willing to learn, take direction and use their initiative
• Can work independently and as part of a team

Applicants currently studying hairdressing are particularly encouraged to apply, although this is not essential.
