Junior Screen Writer

About the role

This is a Junior Screenwriter position focused on adapting web novel intellectual properties into short drama scripts. You will organize preliminary script content, character setups, outlines, and full scripts based on current market trends for mini short dramas, with each episode running 1–2 minutes across 80–100 episodes.

Key responsibilities

• Adapt designated web novel IPs into short drama scripts requiring fast pacing, high conflict, and standout characterization
• Complete character bios, story synopses, and full script writing
• Organize preliminary script content, character setups, outlines, and full scripts based on current market trends
• Understand the Chief Editor's creative direction and requirements, completing scriptwriting as requested
• Assist the production team in content revisions and post-production execution to ensure project timelines are met
• Continuously optimize and refine scriptwriting methodologies based on market dynamics

About you

• Open to entry-level interns or fresh graduates
• Familiar with the workflows and conventions of scriptwriting or novel-to-script adaptations
• Possess strong original writing and adaptation capabilities
• Able to independently draft various types of scripts
• Rich imagination and strong sense of dramatic pacing
• Highly logical writing with ability to ensure script quality regarding characters, plot, and structure
• Solid dialogue-writing skills
• Passionate about screenwriting with strong professional ethics and proactive attitude
• Excellent communication skills and team spirit
• Strong ability to learn and assimilate new knowledge; capable of delivering high-efficiency and high-quality results while adapting to a high-intensity work environment
• Familiar with new media fiction and current market-popular 1-minute short dramas, understanding their key selling points and pacing rhythm
