Junior SecOps Engineer

• Assist in the monitoring and management of security tools and technologies to enhance organizational security posture
• Support incident response activities by investigating alerts and helping to resolve security incidents
• Participate in routine vulnerability assessments and security audits
• Help maintain and update security documentation and procedures
• Collaborate with team members to implement security policies and procedures
• Engage in continuous learning to develop skills in SecOps and cybersecurity practices
• Assist in the maintenance of cloud infrastructures and services from a security standpoint
• Support the implementation and improvement of security monitoring solutions
• Document findings and contribute to reports on security assessments

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field
• 1-2 years of experience in a security-focused role or internship
• Basic knowledge of security principles, practices, and technologies
• Familiarity with cloud security concepts and platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) is a plus
• Understanding of networking concepts, firewall management, and intrusion detection systems
• Basic scripting skills in languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell
• Willingness to learn about security tools (e.g., SIEM, antivirus, IDS/IPS) and cloud security solutions
• Good problem-solving skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Relevant security certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner) are a plus but not mandatory
