🔎 We are looking for a Junior Securities Settlement Analyst

Interested in financial markets and eager to deepen your knowledge of bonds and international post-trade operations? Join a team covering American and Asian markets, with close interaction with Front Office.

📝 MAIN TASKS

• Monitor securities transactions throughout the settlement lifecycle, with a particular focus on bonds and fixed-income products.
• Support timely and accurate settlement across American and Asian markets, taking into account local market requirements.
• Investigate settlement discrepancies, pending transactions and failed trades, escalating issues when necessary.
• Perform cash and securities reconciliations and follow up on outstanding differences.
• Liaise closely with Front Office and other operational teams to clarify trade details and resolve settlement issues.
• Coordinate with counterparties and custodians to support the settlement process.
• Contribute to operational controls, process documentation and continuous improvement.

🧩 YOUR PROFILE AND SKILLS

• Academic degree in Economics or Finance.
• Relevant initial experience in Securities Settlement, Trade Support, Middle Office, Back Office or Capital Markets Operations.
• Good understanding of bonds, fixed-income products and financial markets.
• Knowledge of the trade lifecycle and the main stages of securities settlement.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and a rigorous approach to operational tasks.
• A curious mindset, a strong willingness to learn and confidence in asking questions or seeking support.
• Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate with Front Office and international stakeholders.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to a complex operational environment.
• Good command of Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with SWIFT, custody and clearing processes is an advantage.
• Exposure to American or Asian markets is an advantage.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
• Position based in Lisbon.
