Junior / Senior Account Executive

Cheaper Group (Est. 2017) is a rapidly expanding Mobile & Gadget Retail Company. We are seeking a high-caliber, meticulous, and proactive Junior / Senior Account Executive to take full ownership of the group's financial accounts, drive process improvements, ensure healthy working capital and support the Finance Manager by preparing financial analysis and management reports.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Full-Spectrum Financial Management: Oversee and manage the full spectrum of financial accounts, ensuring timely and accurate closing of monthly, quarterly, and year-end accounts (AP, AR, GL, and Fixed Assets).
• Retail Cash & Audit Control: Review and optimize daily cash/bank reconciliations for all retail outlets; investigate and resolve complex collection discrepancies or variances from shop operations.
• Cash Flow & Budgeting: Monitor and manage daily cash flow movements, prepare cash flow forecasts, and assist in budget planning to ensure healthy working capital for retail expansions.
• Taxation & Compliance: Coordinate with tax agents on corporate tax matters and prepare SST/Withholding tax/E-Invoice submissions, and ensure full compliance with Malaysian statutory requirements, accounting standards (MPERS/MFRS), and corporate policies.
• Liaison & External Audit: Act as the primary point of contact for external auditors, tax agents, banks, and relevant government authorities; coordinate and facilitate the year-end audit process smoothly.
• Internal Process Improvement: Assist the Finance Manager in identifying process improvement opportunities and strengthening internal controls.
• Mentorship & Support: Reports directly to Finance Manager and supervise 1-2 Account Assistants.

📝 REQUIREMENTS

• Candidates with full working rights for Malaysia.
• Bachelor’s Degree/Professional Degree (ACCA/CPA/MIA) or Professional Diploma in Accounting/Finance.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of working experience in accounting, with proven experience handling full-spectrum accounts, preferably in the Retail or E-commerce industry.
• Strong knowledge of Malaysian tax regulations (SST, Corporate Tax) and statutory compliance.
• Strong communication skills to liaise with English, BM, and Chinese-speaking stakeholders.
• Analytical, detail-oriented, with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently under tight deadlines.
• Proficient in accounting software (e.g., SQL, AutoCount, UBS) and advanced MS Excel functions.
• Fresh graduate or less working experience in accounting are also welcome to apply.

🕘 Working Hours: Monday – Friday, flexi start between 9am-10.30am, and finish between 6pm-7.30pm (Standard 8-hour workday + 1-hour lunch break)
