Junior / Senior Interior Designer

About the role

An Interior Designer role involving the creation and development of interior design concepts and solutions. You will prepare design concepts, sketches, space planning, design development, specifications, and detailed drawings. You will select and source suitable materials, furnishings, lighting fixtures, and accessories to complement the overall design concept, develop detailed layout plans and 3D perspectives for presentations and design proposals, and present design concepts and proposals to clients while understanding their requirements and incorporating feedback into revisions.

Key responsibilities

• Conceptualising and developing interior design concepts, mood boards and design proposals for client projects

• Creating detailed design drawings, floor plans, elevations and 3D visualisations using industry-standard design software

• Liaising with clients to understand their requirements, preferences and budget constraints

• Collaborating with architects, contractors and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution

• Selecting appropriate materials, finishes, colours, furniture and decorative elements that align with project briefs

• Conducting site visits and measurements to inform design decisions and ensure practical feasibility

• Preparing presentation materials and design documentation for client meetings

• Managing project timelines and ensuring designs comply with relevant building regulations and safety standards

• Perform other ad hoc duties and provide support to the team as required.

Requirement

• Diploma or degree in Interior Design, Architecture or a related field

• Proficiency in industry-standard design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite or similar programmes

• Strong creative and conceptual thinking abilities with an eye for aesthetics and spatial planning

• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts clearly to clients and team members

• Knowledge of interior design principles, colour theory, materials and finishes

• Attention to detail and ability to work accurately with technical drawings and specifications

• Problem-solving mindset and flexibility to adapt designs based on client feedback and practical constraints

• Able to manage multiple projects and work independently.
