Junior Service engineer

About the role

Master Systems is looking for a Junior Service Engineer to support the installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance, and servicing of marine electronic, navigation, communication, and automation systems. The role is suitable for a fresh graduate or an engineer with up to 3 years of relevant experience who is interested in developing a career in the marine service and technical field. The selected candidate will receive hands-on exposure to vessel equipment, onboard service activities, troubleshooting, and customer support.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the installation, commissioning, testing, and maintenance of marine electronic and automation systems.
• Support servicing and troubleshooting of navigation, communication, automation, and safety systems installed onboard vessels.
• Assist senior engineers in identifying and resolving equipment faults and technical issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance as instructed.
• Conduct equipment testing, calibration, configuration, and functional checks.
• Assist with troubleshooting of electrical, electronic, control, and communication systems.
• Read and understand electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, manuals, and technical documentation.
• Prepare accurate service reports, inspection reports, checklists, and other technical documentation.
• Coordinate with senior engineers, customers, vessel crew, ship management companies, and other relevant stakeholders during service activities.
• Provide basic remote technical support to customers and assist in resolving technical issues.

About you

• 0–3 years of experience in marine service, automation, electronics, electrical systems, instrumentation, or a related technical field.
• Freshers with relevant academic projects, internships, or technical training may also be considered.
• Willingness to travel locally and internationally for service assignments, training, and project requirements.
