Junior Settlement Officer

We’re hiring | Securities Settlement Officer

Lisbon, Portugal | Hybrid

Our client, a leading international banking group, is looking for a Securities Settlement Officer to join its Securities Settlement Department in Lisbon.

You will handle the department’s core processes: pre- and post-settlement activities, clearing, custody, maintenance of the relevant legal documentation, and transaction and event-related accounting for securities in scope.

Your main activities

• Monitor and ensure the settlement of securities transactions and associated products
• Perform cash and position reconciliations across internal systems and local custodians
• Ensure referential data is kept up to date with the responsible teams
• Respond to emails and queries accurately and in a timely manner

Your profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting or Management
• Up to 2 years of experience in banking and financial operations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Fluent English
• Strong communication skills and team spirit
• Attention to detail and rigour
• Results-driven and client-focused
