Junior Shopify Front-End Developer

About the Company

We are hiring a Shopify Developer to build, customize and maintain Shopify stores and to develop custom Shopify apps that extend what the platform offers out of the box. You will work across themes, apps and third-party integrations, turning business requirements into reliable, fast and user-friendly e-commerce experiences.

About the Role

The Shopify Developer will build, customize and maintain Shopify and Shopify Plus stores, develop custom Shopify apps, and manage integrations with third-party systems to deliver reliable, fast and user-friendly e-commerce experiences.

Responsibilities

• Build, customize and maintain Shopify and Shopify Plus stores, including theme development with Liquid, HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
• Design and develop custom Shopify apps using Node.js and React to deliver features not available natively in Shopify.
• Build and maintain integrations between Shopify and external systems such as ERPs, CRMs, payment gateways, shipping providers and marketing tools via REST and GraphQL APIs.
• Work with the Shopify Admin API and Storefront API using GraphQL, and handle webhooks for real-time data sync.
• Read, understand and apply technical documentation from Shopify and third-party providers to deliver solutions quickly and correctly.
• Optimize store performance, page speed, SEO and mobile responsiveness.
• Support multilingual and right-to-left (Arabic) storefronts, including localization.
• Troubleshoot and fix bugs, monitor stores after launch and apply updates as Shopify releases new features or deprecates old ones
• Collaborate with designers, marketing and operations teams to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Write clean, documented, version-controlled code (Git) and follow best practices for security and data privacy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related field.

Required Skills

• Proven experience in Shopify development or web development, with a portfolio or live stores you can share.
• Solid knowledge of Shopify themes, Liquid, and the Shopify admin.
• Strong JavaScript skills, with hands-on experience in Node.js and React.
• Experience building and consuming REST and GraphQL APIs.
• Familiarity with Shopify app development tools such as Shopify CLI, App Bridge and Polaris.
• Working knowledge of Git and version control workflows.
• Fluency in English and Arabic, both written and spoken.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Shopify Plus, Checkout Extensibility, Shopify Functions.
• Knowledge of databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, MongoDB) and cloud hosting (e.g. AWS, Google Cloud, Heroku, Vercel).
• Understanding of e-commerce SEO, Core Web Vitals and conversion rate optimization.
• Shopify Partner account with published apps or themes.
