Junior Site Engineer

Position: Junior Site Engineer
Department: Projects / Construction
Location: Coimbatore / Project Site
Reporting To: Project Manager / Senior Site Engineer

Job Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager/Senior Engineer in day-to-day site activities.
• Monitor construction work as per approved drawings, specifications, and project schedule.
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and workers at the site.
• Check the quality of materials and workmanship as per project requirements.
• Take measurements and maintain daily site records, work progress, and material usage.
• Ensure proper execution of civil works including excavation, foundation, RCC, masonry, plastering, flooring, and finishing works.
• Coordinate with other teams to resolve site-related issues.
• Ensure proper utilization of materials and minimize wastage.
• Follow site safety rules and ensure workers comply with safety requirements.
• Prepare daily/weekly progress reports and update the Project Manager.
• Assist in quantity estimation, material requirements, and site documentation.
• Ensure work is completed within the required quality, cost, and timeline.

Qualification

• Diploma / BE in Civil Engineering.
• Experience: 0–3 years in construction/site work.

Skills Required

• Basic knowledge of civil construction and site execution.
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Basic knowledge of MS Office and AutoCAD.
• Ability to manage site activities and work with contractors/workers.
• Willingness to work at project sites.
