Junior Software Engineer

Our client is looking for a Junior Software Engineer for a contract to hire role that is hybrid 3 days onsite in Chicago per week

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop integrations between automation platforms, CI/CD pipelines, source control, monitoring tools, secrets management, and event-driven architectures.
• Build and maintain automated deployment and environment promotion processes across development, testing, and production environments.
• Establish CI/CD pipelines supporting cloud and on-prem infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot and support enterprise automation, scheduling, and production operations platforms.

Required Qualifications:

• Background in DevOps, CI/CD, infrastructure automation, and cloud platforms (AWS and/or Azure).
• Experience with Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, JavaScript, and database technologies.
• Knowledge of event-driven architectures, API integrations, Kafka, and enterprise middleware.
• Experience with Jenkins, Git, Docker, Kubernetes, Maven/Gradle, and enterprise monitoring tools.
