Junior Software Engineer

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Junior Software Engineer role based in Jaipur. The Junior Software Engineer will help design, develop, test, and maintain backend services and APIs that power Scrapingdog’s web data infrastructure. Day-to-day responsibilities include writing clean and efficient code, implementing object-oriented designs, fixing bugs, and contributing to performance and reliability improvements. The role involves collaborating with senior engineers on new features, reviewing code, and participating in technical discussions and documentation. The Junior Software Engineer will also assist in integrating new data sources, enhancing existing tools, and ensuring stable, scalable systems that support a growing global user base.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience, with strong Node.js.
• Solid fundamentals: HTTP, headers, cookies, sessions, REST APIs
• Comfortable with Chrome DevTools and reading network requests
• Hands-on scraping experience, even from personal projects (Puppeteer, Playwright, Cheerio, BeautifulSoup, etc.)
• Curiosity and persistence. Many of these tasks need you to keep digging when something doesn’t work
