Junior Software Engineer (Greece, Chania based)

About the role:

We are looking for a passionate Junior Software Engineer to join our Development Lab at SKY express**, based in Chania.** In this role, you will support the development and maintenance of software applications, APIs, and backend services that support key airline operations. Working closely with Senior Software Engineers and cross-functional teams, you will contribute to delivering reliable and scalable technology solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain software applications, RESTful APIs, and backend services that support business and operational needs.
• Collaborate with Senior Software Engineers and cross-functional teams to deliver technical solutions aligned with business requirements.
• Support testing, troubleshooting, debugging, and technical documentation activities to ensure reliable and high-quality software delivery.
• Follow coding standards, participate in code reviews, and contribute to continuous improvement of software quality and development practices.
• Contribute to team initiatives, development processes, and internal tools while taking ownership of assigned tasks and deliverables.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Minimum 1 year of professional experience in software development.
• Exposure to modern programming languages and technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Node.js and SQL.
• Familiarity with any frontend library/framework such as Angular, React, Vue etc.
• Familiarity with Git.
• Fluency in Greek and English (verbal and written).
