Junior Sous Chef

Job Purpose

To support the Sous Chef and Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations, maintaining food quality, ensuring food safety, and supervising kitchen staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in daily kitchen operations and food preparation.
• Ensure consistent food quality, taste, presentation, and portion control.
• Follow approved recipes, menu standards, and cooking procedures.
• Supervise and guide kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations.
• Maintain food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards in compliance with company policies and UAE regulations.
• Monitor stock levels, check ingredient quality, and minimize food waste.
• Ensure proper food storage, labelling, and temperature control.
• Assist with stocktaking, ordering, and inventory control.
• Support staff training and ensure compliance with kitchen SOPs.
• Coordinate with the kitchen team to ensure timely food preparation and service.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Junior Sous Chef,
• Good knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen operations.
• Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and HACCP principles.
• Good leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required.

Pay: AED5,000.00 - AED6,000.00 per month
