SUMMARY: We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented SQL Developer to join our growing technology team based in Pretoria East. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for data, database development, and business intelligence who is eager to expand their technical skills in a collaborative and supportive environment.

You will work alongside experienced SQL Developers and Database Administrators, assisting with the development, maintenance, and optimization of database solutions that support key business operations and reporting requirements.

POSITION INFO: Key Responsibilities Develop, test, and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects. Assist with the design and maintenance of database schemas, tables, indexes, and relationships. Work closely with software developers to integrate databases with business applications. Monitor database performance and assist in identifying and resolving performance issues. Support data quality and integrity initiatives through validation and cleansing processes. Perform routine database administration tasks, including backups, restores, and data migrations. Build and maintain reports using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS). Develop, enhance, and support Power BI data models and reporting solutions. Ensure database security and compliance with data protection standards and best practices. Create and maintain technical documentation for databases, processes, and configurations. Stay up to date with emerging database technologies, tools, and industry trends. Minimum Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, or a related field. Basic understanding of SQL and relational database concepts. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. High attention to detail with a focus on data accuracy and quality. Good communication and teamwork skills. Ability to learn quickly and take direction from senior technical team members. Familiarity with database management tools and SQL client applications will be advantageous. Exposure to SSRS and Power BI will be beneficial. Relevant SQL or database certifications are advantageous but not essential.
