Junior Surveyor

Job Purpose

Support surveying activities for construction and infrastructure projects by carrying out field measurements, setting out, leveling, alignment, and verification works. Assist the Surveyor in operating survey equipment, managing survey data, preparing basic drawings and reports, and ensuring survey activities comply with project specifications, quality, safety, and environmental requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in setting out, leveling, alignment, topographical, as-built, and progress survey works.
• Verify construction works against approved drawings, coordinates, levels, and specifications.
• Coordinate with site engineers, supervisors, subcontractors, consultants, and clients on survey requirements.
• Operate and maintain Total Station, GPS/GNSS, Auto Level, and other survey equipment.
• Maintain survey records, field notes, measurements, drawings, calculations, and reports.
• Ensure survey activities comply with quality, safety, environmental, and project requirements.
• Assist the Surveyor in daily survey activities, inspections, audits, and joint surveys.
• Support the team in achieving survey targets and project milestones.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a closely related field.
• 1–2 years of practical experience in surveying, civil engineering, or construction projects.
• Experience or training in land surveying, construction surveying, or geospatial technologies is advantageous.
• Knowledge of Total Station, GPS/GNSS, Auto Level, and digital survey equipment.
• Basic proficiency in AutoCAD/CAD, GIS, or BIM software is desirable.
• Knowledge of local and national survey standards, codes, and regulations.
• Relevant professional certifications in surveying or geomatics are advantageous.
