Junior System Engineer

mthree is looking for a talented Trading Systems Integrator to join our team in Budapest and work with one of our international partners.

We’re looking for a self-motivated, enthusiastic team player who is eager to learn, develop new technical skills, and contribute to the delivery and integration of trading systems used across global financial markets.

🌍 About the role

You’ll join a team that works on proprietary trading systems that trade cash, options, and futures across multiple markets worldwide. You’ll be responsible for managing and delivering technical projects, collaborating with local and international teams, and coordinating with external vendors, clients, and exchanges to ensure successful system integration and delivery.

🔧 What you’ll be doing:

• Manage and deliver projects related to proprietary trading systems and client connectivity
• Support the integration, configuration, and implementation of trading systems across global markets
• Collaborate with local and remote engineering teams to deliver technical solutions
• Liaise with external vendors, clients, and exchanges to support connectivity and integration requirements
• Troubleshoot technical issues and contribute to resolving complex system challenges
• Work with Linux/UNIX environments and scripting tools to support integration and operational tasks
• Read and understand C++ code to support technical investigations and system integration
• Continuously develop your knowledge of electronic trading systems and financial market technologies

💻 What we’re looking for:

• Proficiency in Linux/UNIX environments
• Experience with at least one scripting language, such as Python or Shell
• Basic C++ development skills , including the ability to read and understand code
• A self-motivated mindset and a strong willingness to learn
• An interest in trading systems, financial markets, and the electronic trading business
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to technical challenges
• A collaborative attitude and the ability to work effectively with local and international teams

⭐ Nice to have:

• Knowledge of the FIX protocol
• Basic networking knowledge, including TCP/IP and UDP multicast
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines
