At Tax Consulting South Africa, we are looking for an ambitious, curious attorney who enjoys a challenge and wants to build a specialisation in tax law.

Tax law goes beyond numbers and dealing with SARS. It involves interpreting legislation, developing legal arguments, resolving complex disputes and finding practical solutions to challenging legal and commercial problems.

At Tax Consulting South Africa, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals, tackle complex matters and develop the technical expertise required to become a Tax Attorney. Where could tax law take you?

Depending on your interests and the team you join, your work could include:

• Tax disputes: Research complex legal issues, develop legal arguments and assist with objections, appeals and engagements with SARS.
• Tax debt and compromise: Explore practical solutions to tax debt matters, including payment arrangements and compromise applications.
• Tax advisory: Interpret legislation, draft legal opinions and advise on complex tax matters.
• International tax: Work on cross-border matters involving tax treaties, tax residency, international mobility and foreign structures.

What you will bring

Admission as an attorney, a strong legal foundation, sound analytical skills and a genuine willingness to learn. Prior experience in tax law would be advantageous, but a curious mind, resilience and the drive to excel are equally important.
