We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Junior Technical Business Analyst to bridge the gap between Subject Matter Experts and technical engineering team for a leading banking client . You will play a pivotal role in the development and validation of a Knowledge Graph built from complex banking policy and procedure documentation. Your primary mandate is to ensure the KG is accurate, compliant with banking standards, and functionally optimized for end-user queries.
Key Responsibilities
1. Ontology & Knowledge Validation
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and SMEs to define and refine the ontology (nodes, edges, and schemas) that represents our banking policies.
- Validate the quality of automated data extraction from unstructured policy documents, ensuring that entities and relationships accurately reflect business intent and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct manual and automated testing of the graph structure to identify inconsistencies, redundant data, or logical fallacies.
2. Technical Liaison & Requirements Management
- Act as the primary interface between the technical development team (Data Scientists/Engineers) and business stakeholders (Compliance, Risk, Ops).
- Translate complex technical constraints of the graph database into actionable business requirements and vice versa.
- Document data lineage, business rules, and mapping requirements for the ingestion pipelines.
3. Query Testing & Quality Assurance
- Design and execute comprehensive test plans for SPARQL or Cypher-based queries to ensure they provide accurate and performant results.
- Analyze query output to ensure that the retrieved information complies with underlying policy documents.
- Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) sessions, collecting feedback from SMEs to iterate on graph features and querying capabilities.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: 1+ years as a Technical Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar role, preferably in the Financial Services domain.
- Knowledge Graph Familiarity: Proven understanding of Knowledge Graph concepts (Ontologies, RDF/OWL, Property Graphs).
- Technical Literacy: * Proficiency in query languages (e.g., SPARQL, Cypher, SQL).
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation (schemas, data models).
- Ability to interpret LLM outputs and LLM extraction based issues
- Domain Expertise: Understanding of banking/financial policy and procedure documentation is highly preferred.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional communication skills; ability to simplify complex technical concepts for non-technical SMEs.
- Tools: Experience with tools like Protege, GraphDB, Neo4j, or similar graph management platforms.
